I am about to purchase a war painted clown goby, but before I do I want to get some insight on others experience with this fish. Are they aggressive, are there any tips or tricks to keeping them, do they jump? Just want some general info on the fish and others experiences with it.

Personally I do not own these but my friend does have a couple in his tank. From what I’ve seen they are very peaceful fish, they are really small and usually completely safe. They have a ton of personality often perching on rock or glass and staring at you. I don’t think they jump but my friend has a cover so wouldn’t know

Sweet! thank you, yeah I am pretty excited to get my hands on one. Have heard quite a bit of great stuff about them

There are a bunch of clown goby species, but the warpaint is green with red marks. They are very peaceful, but smaller and more timid than the yellow clown goby. They only nip at sps, and that is to make a spot to lay eggs, softies are fine. Any fish can jump.
