Had a pair of clowns for 6-weeks with no issues. They’ve had 0 issues and been eating and even super social. Walk to the tank they both swim right up to the glass and wait to be fed.

today, the male (less dominant one) was hiding in the back corner hugging the glass. He was swimming fine and didn’t eat at feeding time and refused to leave the back glass. I checked him and his breathing appeared to be labored and fast.

I looked him up and down and find no songs of flukes or ich and his gills were pink. At work today I looked up tons of things but couldn’t find much that matches what I was seeing. Contemplated doing a freshwater dip and everything.

came home from work, and he immediately came up to the glass. Ate, not acting weird anymore... breathing is fine too. I swear, he had me thinking the worst. I will continue to monitor him, but based on his normal behavior tonight, and no hard breathing and looking like normal I’m hoping for the best!
No real question here. Just wanted to post. If anyone does have feedback though I’ll take it. :)

Ah, my clowns have also done that multiple times. Always returned to normal though without any sign of illness. They sometimes act weird, hence their name

No kidding. I think he’s also becoming more submissive to the slightly bigger female so I think he’s trying to submit, and since they ALWAYS hang near the corner for sleeping and return to after swimming I’m thinking they hose that area so he’s staying back while she goes for food.

She could be going out for food to share but ime both venture out for food. I have read that they may hoard food but others say they put hoarded food only around an anemone.
