In the BRS clown harem video, they add (I believe) 30 clowns to a 120 gallon system. Based on this, a 100 gallon system should have 25 clowns.

For those of you that have kept clown harems, can you help me understand a few things?
  1. How many clowns have you kept successfully in what size system?
  2. How does the type of clown impact a harem size? (e.g. Ocellaris vs. Maroon (which get much bigger when they are older))
  3. Can you provide any solid reading material/videos on clown harem specifics?
Thanks!

I think ocellaris clowns, and aquacultured at that, are your best bet. I would think maroon clowns would beat the snot out of each other no matter how many you have and such.
