Clown has white stuff on its skin

Anyone know what this is ? Have had this clown for 4 years. Is it Brook? #fishmedic

I freshwater dipped them but I don’t have any other things on hand

Well I looked closer hat them for a while one has the proper symptoms for brook, swimming to the surface and white slime coming of it. The other I assume hasn’t been infected as long you can barley see white things on his skin

Most recent additions to the tank were a week ago but I assume it’s been in the tank longer since I lost 2 grammas a few days prior to the new fish and they also looked fairly bad

Since I live in Germany and most of the fish medication you have in the us is not allowed I could only find this at the Lfs. Do you guys think this will do ? So after I did the fresh water bath the fish have lost some of the white marks on their skin and slime has stopped coming of.

Would I do a bath or just use it how it’s advised on the product. I read somewhere that fish with wounds should be treated because my female clown has a small would ( she is not as affected as the male). Do I not treat her ?

Every fish in the tank should be considered infected.
I would use the product as directed, it could be different than others to be effective.
Treat in a separate tank and keep all fish out of the display for 6 weeks to ensure the brook has been starved out.

I have used it as Instruced caught out the clowns and already put them in they are now in a 10gallon with the correct amount of solution. For my other fish I still need to find a solution since I have a 100gallon I need a bigger qt tank. Display still has 2 dwarf angels, 2 kardinals, 2 wrasse, 1 springeri damsel and 1 tang. All of these don’t seem to be showing any signs yet hence why I took out the clowns first because they are the most urgent

Update: So the clowns do look better but they are now barley eating, I have tried all to foods they normally like and added vitamins and garlic to them. They put it in their mouth and then just spit it out most of the time.

It could just be stress from the qt tank. Give it a bit to see if they turn around.

Be sure to keep the ammonia level under control in the treatment tank. The clowns can go some time without food (a week or more) but the brooklynella and/or ammonia issues can kill them quicker than that.

The product you are using is formalin and malachite green. It isn't the best product to use for Brooklynella (plain formalin is better, at 25 ppm) but you may have difficulty acquiring formalin....

Yeah it’s the best I could get here in Germany. I take out all the leftover food. They do look far better can’t see any white or slime on the fish but only time will tell.
