Hey guys! I
13aa583471b4c86dd3fadc8b0986730e.jpg
came across a lone Percula Clown today that was super awesome and had to get him. As soon as he was added to the tank, he swam up to my existing percula (sold as a perc but has dark eyes and deep deep orange, so i believe its actually an ocellaris) and they formed something I can only describe as the Yin Yang sign. They swam up to each other, heads on opposite ends, and began to almost cuddle each other (in a sorta violent way). They then swam apart for about an hour, and are now kinda inseperable. Was this “mating” behavior? Sign of dominance/submittance? Im kinda discouraged my LFS jipped me on species and now I have two of a different kind. Ill attach a pic of my existing “Percula” and see what you guys think. Any thoughts are great!

He is cute. Also, percs and ocellaris will mate. If they are getting along, and you like them both, no big worries. That was more than likely dominance behavior. If they are both still small, they will work it out. If you have two females, watch for one being beaten to death. :)

Sounds like bonding behavior.

It's a snowflake, you are correct ocellaris, not percula, but yes both are compatible, though I and many prefer same species matched
