Clown laying on bottom

IMO with nothing added and your water being fine....it unlikely to be anything treatable.... probably just have to wait and see :(
Yeah, I've been through this enough to know the outcome likely isn't recovery. But if there's something I can do I would like to. And if there isn't I want to protect the rest of the tank as soon as it's the right thing to do.

Neither that I can tell. Just the rapid breathing, ending up upside down, and unable to swim effectively when attempted.
I’m trying to eliminate chance of brook which it doesn’t appear to be
I suspect internal issue which treatment is seachem neoplex or kanaplex
Any white poop you’ve noticed from clown?

The thing thats 'odd' to me here - is that if I'm reading correctly - the fish was fine and eating a day ago. This happened overnight. There were no new additions, and the fish has been in the tank for 2 years. It doesn't sound like any stress event occurred. I agree with @vetteguy53081 and yourself - that this is an internal issue. If the fish is eating - you can try medicated food - but - my guess is that this is one of those cases that @Jay Hemdal would say (I tagged him) - is likely not to be treatable - but also may recover spontaneously.

Yes they both have white stringy feces from time to time. I should have some meds for internal parasites on hand if that's the direction I should go.

Yes- medication mentioned
Seachem neoplex and instead of kanaplex ….metroplex with focus as a binder IF you can get fish to eat

Looks like I have prazipro and copper on hand. I'll see if anywhere locally has the others.

I can't find those locally. Is it worth putting her in a QT tank and dosing the PraziPro?

Prazi is better than nothing as it ma Work (mainly for external)
Ruby rally pro also good.
Seachem items on Amazon and eBay

I have PraziPro. I think I can get API general cure today. I'll have to run to the store. Should I use those and treat the display tank? I have a possum wrasse but nothing else that the prazi would hurt I don't believe.

Would a FW dip be of any help?

Prazipro treats external parasites. Which, it does't seem to apply here. You can dose this in the tank.
General Cure treats internal parasites, some have stated it might be.. Could be worth a try. I wouldn't treat this in the DT. I don't think it is invert safe, but i'm not 100%. Recently when I suspected internal parasites, Jay recommended general cure in a QT. That's what I am basing my suggestion off of. I am not a disease expert ;)

Here is a link to that thread where you can read what Jay said about treatment. Scroll the bottom of page 1 and ignore the drinking GIFs after. It was an emotional day.

I was able to get some general cure. Got 10 gallons of water made up and coming up to temp. Should I put both clownfish in there? The other one has white feces sometimes too.

I don’t think it would hurt to treat both. That way you won’t have to treat the other one a different time, is something developed. I hope it helps. however, I’m a bit skeptical that this is the causing what you are seeing  . ::::crossing fingers::::::

Sorry if you already answered this.. is she still eating?
Was eating great through last night. Today just not functional. Got her in the QT tank now. I'll try to catch the other one tomorrow but I just changed the oil in my car and shouldn't put my hands near the tank for a while.

I added some food soaked in general cure in the QT tank so we will see.

how is she doing today?

Thanks for checking and all the help everyone!

She's in QT in general cure. Breathing very heavy. But has not gotten worse. Last night she was staying upside down and today she is right side up. But still on the bottom, in a small space near an air filter, and leaning over on it.

My plan is to dose the second round of general cure tomorrow if she's still hanging in there. I can't tell if she's eaten any of the food I put in or not but I would doubt it.

I don't really know how quickly you would see relief if it's internal parasites or worms.
