This showed up virtually overnight on one of my clown fish all other fish seem fine and the fish in the picture is acting normal/eating. I posted it on Friday but i was without a decent camera and finally got some good pictures. If this is Lymphocystis should I bother stressing the fish out in quarantine? If it isn’t which meds should I treat with? This will be my first quarantined fish. It would be in a 10 gallon tank with a hunk of live rock I have in my sump. sorry for a kind of redundant repost I just dont think the previous post showed enough of the issue.

That doesn't look like lympho to me. More like a fungal infection.. lympho looks kinda like cauliflower..
If you can quarantine, I would and start with an anti-fungal med

That looks more like Brook to me.

Especially on the pec fin.

Certainly not questioning you here just want to understand and make sure we are on the same page as I’m definitely a newbie to saltwater. The pics in your link almost have a velvet look and slimey texture to the fish... my clown has perfect skin outside the infected area....it’s also more raised then the pics show like white chunkyness coming out I tried to get a better pic to show this...do you still think brook?

Hey check out our the new pic I posted cause it does have a kind of cauliflower look....it’s like the weird white things you can find in your throat sometimes lol I have furan2 metroplex and kanoplex would any work for fungus?

Fungus is very uncommon in marine fish.

I agree with brook and a secondary bacterial infection. I would treat with Metroplex, Kanaplex, and Furan 2 in quarantine very quickly.

It could be bacterial. I still see what looks like Brook in very first pic.

It looks like slime splashed on fin.

Either way. Move to QT. Treat with Kanaplex Metroplex and Furan-2. It will cover both Brook and the infection. It's not lympho.

Thankfully have all three...is there a good chance the rest of the fish have it? Should I only medicate the infected fish and just watch the other fish for symptoms?
