This little guy has been in my DP for about two weeks. I have another clown, lawnmower Blen, and a couple shrimp. Water parameters have been solid. It looks like he was bit or something. Started off with some slime on his body.
I am new to saltwater. He is in a QT now and I am dosing with Melafix. Day one in this photo.

Look like Uronema. Read this thread and confirm. It also talks about how to properly treat.

Well crap that is what it looks like. Thank you for the detailed info. Big problem though since he was in my DT. Rookie mistake. Didn’t have my QT setup yet. From that reading it’s in my tank now forever?

Technically yes. Keeping water clean and nutrition strong will be important to keep this parasite at bay. Also keep in mind that Uronema affects certain species of fish more than others.

Well the clown passed to the other side. Did a 50% water change in the DT. Thoroughly cleaned the QT and set it up again.

Lost my other clown today. Now just inverts in the tank. The second clown had somewhat swollen gills and looked to be labored in breathing. Also didn’t eat. Ammonia levels are null so I can’t figure this out. This one also lost a bit of color, kinda started to fade. Confused? Any suggestions?
