Hello everyone, I was wondering why my clown has a white string attached to his body?
I have not fed them yet since I got them yesterday.
Ammonia:1

Nitrate:0
PH:8.5
The other clown does not have this at the moment.

Is it coming from its anus? If so, that is mucus feces. There are a number of causes for this - starvation, change in diet, bacterial disease and protozoan disease, and sometimes, no reason at all. However, since it is a new fish and you have no history with it, you need to suspect the worst. Did you buy the fish from a local pet store? If so, give them a call to let them know about it.

It could be internal parasites. I'm dealing with the same issue on my clowns. It is best tot act quick cause when they are still eating this is al lot easier to treat. Humblefish has a good recipe to deal with this.

If they are not eating i've had lucky with microbelift herbtana to het them to wat again.

Good Luck!
