I have no idea what happened clown was acting fine started to clean tank half way through started half way floating no signs of ick or any fish disease was eating good did water test everything looked good so was temp and salinity he's floating in corner breathing very rapidly can he just be in shock?

Any of your other fish look to be in distress? How long have you had this clownfish?

no all the other fish were looking really good before I started maintenance and I have had her for about 4 to 5 weeks

I might have I did notice I started to happen when I was blowing rocks off but I tested ammonia after water change was done and it was 0
Kick up anything from the sandbed? 0.25 ppm ammonia is as little as it takes to start burning gills. ?

You didn't change salts or anything and the fish didn't eat any of the salt crystals

he looks alright physically. But the heavy breathing and disorientation there is concerning. What was the last wet thing added to the tank? Where any of these fish QT'd?

The last thing added to tank was my blenny which seems to be doing well and yes all fish were qt including blenny I bought a zoa frag a couple of weeks ago but that is it

OK. So what did you treat for in QT and how did you go about doing it? This one is a bit confusing so a little investigative efforts may shed some light.

Breathing has slowed down and send to be getting her Grove back if it was me I really wish I knew what I did wrong for future reference

oh and how I went about doing it I have a small hob filter I removed carbon and put in there so it was slowly dispersed and I treated 1 week for each fish

So only the clownfish is looking bad? The blenny is fine?

I treated praxi for internal parasites on all fish in tank that is all

The Prazi will take care of flukes, but usually Metro is needed for intestinal parasites. It also needs to be done twice one week apart with a water change in between.

I would suggest, for the future, keeping the fish in QT for 3 weeks so that you have a chance to see any parasites/diseases that might be lurking. You can then treat for that before introducing them to the tank.

yes the blenny looks fine I think I might have some how shocked the clown? Idk she seems to be slowly going back to normal still breathing fast but she is not floating around anymore
