Guys,
For just over a week now my clown tang has 2 white spots on his fins , 1 on the side and 1 on the back
I though ich at first but they would have dropped of by now no?

Have you quarantined the fish? How long have you had it? Any other fish sick? etc (there is a link of questions to answer in my signature). A picture under white light would be helpful - and does it have any other symptoms?

Agree with above that white light pics and more information is necessary.

Hey, thanks for the reply

Firstly, the fish was with the lfs for 2 weeks before I bought him and I didn’t notice anything on him for like 3-4 days
I’ve had him 2 weeks now, no other fish have any spots or display signs of stress
He eats normally and doesn’t flash or laboured breathing
I’ll try and get a pic now

He’s not thin it’s just the angle but he has a pinched nose so I’m trying different greens to try and help with that

Keep an eye on it as it can be sand or pre-stage lymphocystis. Ich will move every 24 hours so check again tomorrow
Assure

I will, thanks
Definitely not moved around

Just checked, it was April 19th I got him

It could be Lymphocystis. The fish does look thin to me, but pictures don't always tell the full story. Small tangs should be fed more protein and fats to bulk them up.

He was a bit thin when I got him but now he gets 4 feeds a day with brine shrimp and krill, getting mysis tomorrow aswel

Also add nori and some tdo pellets

Does it mean he’s healthier now or it’s just the cycle of the syst?

Lymphocystis is a viral infection - associated with stress/poor water quality/transport, etc. If the spots are gone, it suggests that the fish and the water are both 'better' (healthier) than previously
