Clown Tang Rescue

Hello, Just brought home a Clown Tang with an eye issue. The LFS was gracious to give him to me for rescue. I know the wholesaler they buy from is reputable.

I plan on using tank transfer for QT. He was rubbing the bottom of the tank at the LFS so there is some irritation, but otherwise no abnormal swimming.

Is there anything special I should do wile in QT?

Tank transfer is a great start, especially for tangs.

After that, a large tank with lots of flow...so hopefully you have that.

They can become quite aggressive too.

I’ll put him in a 65gal after QT, then 150 till I get the 300 is running(future tank).

Nasty worms

It might be worth a treatment of prazi, just to be sure.

Yeah...after see the FW bath, Prazi is in order. I will follow Humblefish’s reqamendations through this process. I put a bit for Nori in, hopefully he’s a eater.

Just need to fatten him up a bit. He has started to graze on nori very well.
