Hey guys so we noticed our clown tang was acting a bit more shy than usual and noticed a cut/sore on him. He is currently in 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank QT system. Other fish in the system with him purple tang with lateral line in a pond basket and a orange spot file fish which is also in a pond basket so he doesn't have any interaction with any other fish really. I did do a treatment of copper and have finished it since and have brought the copper level down from therapeutic level. Its been a couple of days since then.
This was the best picture I could get:

He is eating and everything but just acting shy, which is weird because normally he is out and doing figure 8s in front of me.

I am worried it is something bad like Uronema or something of that nature... was planning to treat with metroplex/kanaplex or furan-2, but am not sure if that is the correct treatment or if I even have it correct.

That does look infected to me ... I would start Metroplex, Kanaplex _and_ Furan-2 ... all three in concert without hesitation. Alternatively, I've heard very good things about Nitrofuracin Green, though I've never used it myself.

P.S. - Welcome to Reef2Reef! (Sorry that it's under such circumstances, but we're glad you're here!!)

So using all 3 together is Okay? Is there a specific dosing method when using all of them together? Just don't want to impact the other 2 fish in the QT.

Yes, and often successful.

You can initiate the doses with a bit of an offset if you'd like - but when I last did it, I dosed all three meds simultaneously, according to instructions on the package. You'll want to have some saltwater available, as well - you'll be doing some water changes. (It'll probably take ten days - two weeks or so.)

Agree. An acriflavin dip would also be advised. I’d administer these things in a QT ASAP as they can take 10-14 days to be marginally effective and that’s often too late...

Thank you so much for the information! J.R. is my husband. Last night we started the dose of Furan-2, this morning added in Metroplex and Kanaplex. We have Focus on hand as well. As for acriflavin when I look it up Rally pops up would this be an equivalent to it?

All fish are eating well and clown tang seems to have more energy but not sure if its a good sign or not.
