who has had success with these?

What would you contribute your success to and if you didnt have success, what do you think went wrong?

I kept a juvenile clown tang for about 3 years. I found it no more difficult than any other surgeonfish in care. I kept it in 75g reef tank when I just started the hobby. One of my favorite fish I've ever kept. My down fall was adding fish without quarantine tanks and I do believe I bought a sick addition home. I lost more than just the clown tang. I dipped all new additions but it doesn't prevent the same as a quarantine tank. Aggression was not an issue but it was still fairly small at 3 yr old

I've had a few -- they are very aggressive fish. Gorgeous, too.

They are most aggressive with fewer tangs in the tank.

You also won't be able to run an ich management tank, the vast majority will die in this environment.

I DID keep one for a few years in an ich management tank but as embarrassing as it is to admit, I killed 7-8 before I found one that could do it.

In short, proper quarantine and treatment is necessary.

They like 180 or larger tanks as they're very active.
