Need some help with my clown. It seems she is pooping white which I’m guessing may not be good.

White stringy poo can be a symptom of internal parasites. Best bet would be to quarantine and treat with something like Prazipro to get rid of the parasites. Treat all fish that have come into contact with this one.

Also you can mix metroplex with focus and add to food.

This can be done in DT, I would run GAC so that if any of the med eaches it is safely removed.

So after I cycled I added her and one other crown and a crab just to make sure everything was going to stay stable. So I have no other fish or Corals in the tank besides the clowns. So if I can do this in the DT it would be better than having to quarantine her. I don’t want to stress them out since they just were moved 4 days ago.
So do I go with the prazirpo directly into the DT or go with the other options?

metroplex with focus and add to food! I did it and it cured my fish. I believe you do it for 14 days. Start asap thats def needed .

I see lots of people recommending a 14 day treatment with the metro+focus method, while this is a good start, i found it took my two clowns about a month of medicated food to fully get rid of the parasites, also, you should try feeding some selcon or another vitamin/fat supplement if you can, he will need to regain the lost weight!

Metro is better for internal parasites no?
A lot of people prophylactically treat with praziquantel, so just treating with metro if symptoms show up later makes sense, but for internal parasites really both should be used as there isn't any evidence that metro works against helminths.

You could use General cure because it contains both metronidazole and praziquantel. Mix in food and bind with focus as well.

Update: We are still fighting these parasites. For 3 weeks I treated with metro and Focus. Still had white string waste. Last Monday I switched to Prazipro. And its been 10 days and she still has it. Maybe I am medicating her wrong. At first I followed the instructions on the bottle of metro. It said 1 scoop per 10 gallons of water twice a day. Well in a 110 gallon tank plus a sump that would take about 14 scoops which was half the bottle. Lets just say the first week i went through a lot. Then I started to soak the food with metro and focus. Putting in about 1 scoop of each with, flake and frozen food. Maybe i need to go back to that route of soaking the food and keep on that for a month? Is one scoop of each in the food enough? Or any other options for treating? The male has not had the parasite just the female.

Problem with metroplex is you get that tiny little bottle which I believe is mixed with another med if I'm not mistaken. You can order pure metro from Jehmco. Get a lot more for your money

It is possible that the worm causing this isn't susceptible to prazi. Personally I'd try one of the -bendazoles in a QT tank as many worms that are not covered by praziquantel are susceptible to one of those, though TBH I've never used it.

Keep up on the metro and focus, it can take longer than 3 weeks, it did for me!

How are you dosing the metro and focus? Directly in the tank or soaking the food in it. And how much are you dosing? Thanks for the help.
