Well, it’s pretty cool that my clown is hosting in my torch, but I’m worried now because he beating the crap out of it, he’s (or she’s) ignored it ever since I put it in until yesterday, now doesn’t come out of it. Will it damage the torch? Maybe if I add a BTA he’ll move? I’ve avoided anemone because I understand they are difficult to keep but don’t want to lose my torch, I’ll just have to re-home the clown if necessary ...

Chances are good that if the clown is aggressively residing in the LPS the coral will become stressed.

Try moving the Torch else where and see what happens.

hes most aggressive when the blenny is under the torch, problem is the blenny has been hanging out there for a long time and doesn't seem too keen on moving out, but i will look at moving it, just don't have a good spot elsewhere away from my other corals.

I had to get rid of my gold bar maroon. Was biting the tips off my torch. Even after moving the torch. Took off almost half of them. Torch has now recovered

Agressive? Please explain how.

Based on your photos, I see a clown that has taken up residence in the Torch.

As far as increased aggression when the blenny is near, I would think it is a territorial issue. I've had clowns that killed off other fish for coming too close to their area.

yea, she has taken up residence, she's just very rough with the torch causing it to stay partially withdrawn.

The torch looks pretty happy to me in the pictures. I've had maroons, and now a pair of black oscellaris hosting my frogspawn for 12 years. They always bite tips at first but eventually settle in.

If the clown is causing the torch not to open fully eventually you will start losing heads. If you move the torch the clown will probably follow just like it would with a traveling anemone it is hosted with. Your going to have to make a choice. Hope for the best, remove the clown, or put an anemone in the tank. Just remember anemones like to move around the tank until they get settled. Then there is also the issue of the anemone and coral stinging each other, be prepared to adjust things to until everyone gets settled.

A couple of white looking sores have shown up on the clown, would this be from the torch stinging it? It doesn’t look like ick to me

Just a note, adding an anemone does not guarantee anything.

The torch does not look bad, if it was really bad it would withdraw much much more. I say leave them be and observe.

My two True P's host a frogspawn. Ruff at first, now are gentle.

yea, I've decided to wait and watch, it seems my starry blend has gotten the clue and avoids the area now, tired of getting tail beat i guess.

Just an update, they are getting along much better, the clown has calmed down a lot
