Clown with prolapsed anus

Yo vette guy i said to dip it in magnesium sulfate, not in salt water plus magnesium sulfate.. you never heard of a freshwater dip?

i only have been breeding clowns 30 years what would i know?
It’s complicated.

Epsom salts is a FW remedy. It can be added to food as a laxative for marine fish at 3% in the food by weight.

Adding it to seawater is useless as seawater already contains that salt at the fourth most common salt.

Using it as a standalone dip in FW would limit the exposure time to around five minutes. Very little would enter the fish during that time, and really none would get inside the fish unless it was hypertonic to the fish’s blood, and I think that high of a dose would be toxic.

Mainly very thin white stringy poop (not like parasites but dosed with prazipro just in case and still didn’t resolve)
White feces can be a sign of the fish not eating or internal protozoans, or more rarely, internal bacterial infections. Prazipro only treats external flukes or internal tapeworms, and neither of those cause white mucus feces.
Can you post a short video of the fish?
Do you have a treatment tank available? Metronidazole in the water can help if it is internal protozoans.
