Hey guys. For past few days clown has had this non clear color on his back. All water parameters are fine. SPS and LPS Corals are doing fine too. Just him. Any ideas?

Thank you very much. Could you tell me how it got into tank. And treatment i know i have read it. Can the fish be returned to tank or need to treat tank somehow too

Got it. Any advice for fresh water dip?? First for me

I just beat brook on my clownfish and successfully quarantined.

I’m no expert, but I did a FW dip immediately for 4-5 minutes using RODI water. Make sure this water is the same temperature as the tank. Don’t panic if they immediately are shocked and just freeze. Monitor the fish during.

I used some sort of ich treatment that had some copper in it. I’ll have to shoot you a message or edit later with the exact one. There may be better meds, but this seemed to work.

I did a follow up FW dip a few days later just for two minutes.

Hopefully you see some improvement within a day or two. Good luck!

Cool. I dont have airstone. Is it required for dip

I didn’t use one. It’s a pretty short amount of time so I wouldn’t think it’s necessary.

With velvet time is definitely of the essence. It progresses to a lethal level very quickly. You would also want to QT all other fish in the tank. Inverts and coral can stay in the DT, but you definitely want to leave it fallow 6-10 weeks. Typically the longer the better, you don't want to chance doing all of this work then putting the fish back in the DT one day to early.
