I had a leak in my DT and apart from flooding the house managed to save nearly all my fish which are temporarily housed at my lfs. I had a pair of maroon clowns that although lovely to look at where a right pain when they were nesting. They kept fanning sand around their territory all over my LPS in the bottom as well as pushing off new SPS coral frags in their area to the point I had to use superglue and hold it in position until gone off. Sadly the female died in an unrelated pump failure at my lfs. When my new tank is up and running I had already made the decision to not put the clowns back in due to their nuisance factor. Now that the female has gone how likely is it that the male clown will do the same thing without a mate as I could put back in the DT? Do any of you have a single clown that likes to push off new frags or fan sand without a mate? Thanks in advance.

Hit or miss to be honest. Your male will become a female and if he picks a spot at the bottom of the tank he's likely to repeat the same behavior. If he picks somewhere closer to the top you might get lucky. It's really a dice roll at this point.
