Clownfish and Goniopora

Hey all,

Anyone have long term success with Goniopora hosting clownfish? I have a large breeding pair that loves to rub against and nibble my Gonioporas. The Gonis remain quite closed most of the time Will they eventually accept the clowns?

Clowns are likely bashing them too much as they get carried away

I have had success for years but the Goni’s get their butts kicked. My large female decided it did not like water anymore and jumped a couple weeks ago and the smaller male is way more gentle. That being said I am seeing dead spots on the red Goni’s so I don’t know how much longer I will tolerate. The fish are only in my tank to pee and poop on my corals. The corals come first. Hopefully since there is only 1 clown left the Goni’s will heal. The other Goni’s take the beating but the red ones were way more popular
