Clownfish attached to algae

As in the title my clown fish has always had a spot on the tank he liked but recently a huge clump of green hair algae has grown there and he bites at me anytime I try to remove it. I ordered a sea hard for my tank because I’ve tried everything to get rid of the algae but it didn’t work, I know they release toxins if provoked, injured or dead and I’m thinking because of the large amount of algae where the clown is will the sea hair try to get it and the clown bite at him? Thanks for the help

Clownfish are weird - they grow attached to the dumbest things. You won't have to worry about the clownfish going after the sea hare (I have one named Roz - she's fine with all the reef inhabitants).
