Something attacked my clown last night. His left fin down to his bone is gone. Most of his tail is missing. He has scales down both sides missing. He's barely hanging on and not eating. This happened last night but I'm wondering what I should do. I hate watching him suffer and thought of euthanizing but figured I'd ask first.

Sounds like a crab attack. Do you have any in your tank? Regardless, I'd move your clown to a hospital tank and start the treatments I'm sure others will recommend ...

He actually ate tonight. Doing somewhat better. I don't know what the morning will bring. He's in a tank. I do have a lobster but no crab. The lobster has grown exponentially over the past year and I can't seem to feed him enough. I just told my wife two days ago that we were going to have to get rid of him because he rips food out of my Scolys. How do you catch a lobster?

A stinking damsel (which was my first thought), tangs, a yellow Corris wrasse, CUC with tuxedo urchins. Whoever did it, it was brutality at its best.

Not sure how aggressive a coris can be, but damsels are notorious bullies. I had a six line wrasse almost kill my ocellaris every time I changed the water. Other than that it was peaceful. He went carpet surfing so I no longer have have to worry about it.
