I've had a false percula clownfish for several years, and about 4 months ago she started to host in my pulsing sinularia. I told her it's a coral, not an anemone but it went in one ear and out the other.
A few days ago I added a second, much smaller false percula. Of course, there was a bit of a welcoming by the larger female who quickly asserted her dominance by a bit of chasing and doing that sideways shaking thing that I've seen paired perculas do before. It is an 100g tank, and the smaller, new addition has migrated down from the corners of the tank a bit into mid water and occasionally ventures lower. Sometimes the larger percale will join him and they'll swim together for a while. So, all in all, things seem to be going well.
I'm hoping they'll officially become an item and host in the pulsing sinularia together. Is this usually what happens? I know I'm one the right track with pairing the clowns, but after that happens will they spend most of their time together and share the same coral for hosting purposes?
Thanks inn advance for any input.
