So I have a 30 gallon stocked with a few coral and some reef safe fish. Recently at my LFS they had an anemone. He didn't look the best, his foot was elongated and wasn't attached. I talked with the owner and he cut the price down for me. I placed the anemone in the tank between some rocks and a a nice pocket of sand. Not to much movement. I am still trying to figure out what kind of anemone. Anyways 18+ hrs later we wake up and see our clownfish rubbing on the anemone. So after work I get home and have on video the same clownfish bit and took some flesh off the anemone. Is this normal? She still runs her body on the anemone. IMG_20200605_183809.jpg

Maybe the clown somehow thought that part of the anemone was a pest or something and went to remove it. It could have thought it was food the anemone caught and wanted a nibble. I don't think it will be an issue

I haven't had mine inure an anemone unless they were too large for it, but I've had almost every clown that had a host anemone nibble on it.

That is normal for the clowns to do that. It’s building it’s tolerance for the nems stinging

Thank you. Always see on videos and tv them rubbing but not nipping/biting. Any idea what kind of anemone? I don't think it is a BTA, I kept looking at seabae and thinking this is what species anemone it was.
