Chase it with the net and if you happen to catch it let it hang out in the net while you do your work. Eventually it will learn.

My 2 clownfish have 5 months just started doing this on the last water change. Frightened the be Jesus out of me. Wasn't expecting it. My kids find it so funny now every time I feed the tank there chasing me.

My clowns got so bad that they would jump out of the tank at me when I did water changes. I just chase them with my hand for a few seconds to assert dominance.

Since I bought my coralife gloves my clown has backed off. He still chases if I get near his bubble coral but is hesitant to nip. I still feel him try from time to time nip but he has no chance at drawing blood...

Gloves will help - just get Nitrile gloves, double up if larger fish, and you should be fine. That is what I do anyway.

Their bites hurt with those little mouths. I flick mine in the nose, they don’t like it and will back off.

I have a female lightning clown always bit me where ever I had my hand in the tank (125g). Even if I would try to intimidate her by chasing her around. She killed the lightning male. She now resides in my sump. I have a nice pair of regular Nemos in the tank now. All is good.

My clowns are hand fed, so I don’t have that problem, the yellowtail damsels are the problem in my tank. They head butt you hard enough to make you jump when you’re not expecting it

My true perc does this. Goes right for the webbing between my fingers too.

Any old latex gloves should provide you with enough insulation from the little bugger.

+1 My clown does he same, scares the heck out of me. Always the sensitive webbing... lol
