Well my clown and BTA tank crashed today. I saw the nems were all on the bottom and looked bad and the temp was like 95. All coral is dead and im supprised the nems and clowns and urchin are alive. They were supposed to go into the 28g nano I built for my girlfriends birthday but I held off due to the nano in 90 comp. Well good thing cuz now I know the heater is faulty. Well I am acclimating them all to my sump and hope they can pull through. Might have to not skip to comp so I can get the nems under some light sooner that June 15. Best luck to my clowns and bta

Yea this happened to me as well. A freaking stealth heater got me. I just picked up a finnex HMO heater and am very happy with it. It has a separate temp probe. That paired with my controller I hope it never happens again.

Hope your anomenes pull through

Sorry to hear about this. Hopefully everything else pulls through.

Wow sorry to hear. No chiller/ controller? I had two separate Jager heaters stick on me in the past, my system would've been toast without the chiller working overtime to compensate.

ya no chiller this was a 20gallon that was part of my main but I disconnected it when I plumbed to the basement a few months ago. It had a stealth heater that I dont think worked in it, so I stuck another in there. Last night it was fine, some how today thou it got stuck on. Bummer. BTA's look like crud but are somewahts expanded and the fish look fine. Any coral in the tank is toast thou!

Sorry bro. How are things today?

Wow....this sucks to read....hope what is left pulls through

Net went out, well fish are all alive and the urchin, very supprising. Nems are both alive but look bad. Very small and semi deflated. They were huge one the size of a dinner plate and now hes golfballed sized and the other which was golfball sized is about the size of a dime.

Happy to hear that the fish are pulling through, hopefully the nems start looking better also. Good luck :)

so the clowns are great the urchins eating like crazy and the big red bta is better, still not himself but better. The smaller one still doesnt ever stick out more than half his tenticles, is always clear and the size of a dime. But he still walks around and opes up a bit, maybe he will come around.
