Clownfish changing color?

When I picked up my two ocellaris clownfish from petco around 7 months ago they were a very bright, healthy orange but now the tops of their bodies looks to have a lot more of a black tint than when I got them. Is this something to be worried about or is this normal? Thanks

This is normal as they grow. Females especially become very dark.

It could also be that your purchased mocha or photon clowns, both get darker as they mature.

I found that the pearl eyes turns black when they matured as well. Maybe you will be lucky on yours and that won’t happen.
