Clownfish clarification for my 50 gallon

In my 52 gallon I can have one pair, or three pairs? Clarification please.

I would suspect you will get some fighting and ultimately losing several clowns if you have 3 pair in a 52g tank. Quite risky!

Did you wait and establish coral before you got them... So they didn't host a piece of equipment?

Get a natural anemone host and establish that well in advance. Then they’ll go right to it.

It's possible to have two pairs or three hell I've seen a pair of maroons and a pair of perculas in a 20 gallon but it is a risk and they had two nems

If you really want multiple clowns look into getting skunk clowns because they are known for being better as a harem. Also having a nem for them helps. A good example is Melev and his setup.

I don't mean to sound argumentative but I don't think two years is very long. The more aggressive maroons could one day decide the percs must die. Just a thought.

/ Also it could just be those specific fish ended up getting along. I think a mix like that is more likely to end up with the maroons killing off the percs. Not that I have any personal experience with those fish. Butfrom what I have read, that seems to be the case.

I have a couple of friends that tried it in 60g. Both had sad endings. I get attached, so I wouldn't do more than a pair. That's just me. Please post pics of them whatever you decide.

I have no problem with just one pair! Especially, being new to the hobby & they are a territorial. I was more frustrated with the hodgepodge of #'s I was fiding, and wanted clarification from the knowledgeable.
