Clownfish died idk how! Bought the pair last Friday and the other seems perfectly fine. Your experiences will surely be appreciated

Would need a LOT more info before any opinions or advise can be given.
Tank size, age, parameters, etc.......
Sorry for your loss none the less....I hate when things I am suppose to be taking care of die

29g bio cube my parameters checked out fine. The numbers are where they are supposed to be. I do weekly water changes. The tank is 6 months old. Bought the pair of clownfish from a guy who had an established tank for 7 years.

Hmmmm....parameters are 'fine' you say. What other tank mates? Were they eating for you? How old were the clowns? The full 7 years of their previous owners tank?

Tank mates consist of

2 other clowns (1 which I bought from another)

2 firefish

1 cleaner shrimp

2 damsels (also from the 7 year tank)

4 small hermit crabs

I believe I had predicted this a while back when you got them...most likely the other large clownish killed it because t was trying to turn female.

Well the one that died was the bigger one and got along with my little clown that was already in the tank. The other clown was in the same tank with the one that died. Not once did they peck at each other

Because there was a smaller clown a the other two were both bigger, they both wanted to pair with the smaller one and be female...there can only be one female in a tank, if there is more than one female death will always ensue. If you want to try to have more than one clown there most be one distincitivley large one and all of the rest need to be smaller an the same size, and that typically doesn't work out either end you end up with a pair.

Believe me the clowns in the second pic are much bigger than the clown in the first
