I have 2 clownfish I picked up last week with something going on. Is this Brook? Im not very knowledgeable on fish disease.

Not the best photos, sorry.

Unlikely to be Brooklynella. More likely marine ich. I always find a clear video helps me diagnose clownfish, since that allows me to see how they are swimming and breathing.

Not sure the video quality is good enough to show much. Thanks for your help!

Ugh, looks like Brooklynella - that affects the fish's swimming more than ich does and this clown is swimming poorly. It looks like the other clown may also have some slight skin cloudiness....

Brooklynella is very difficult to treat in a display tank. The best medication is formalin in a treatment tank, but t6hen, formalin is difficult to get and toxic to humans.

You could try Ruby Reef Rally Pro, but that doesn't always work well for folks.

I don't have formalin. Should I try copper? I have a hospital tank set up.

Copper just doesn't seem to work from Brooklynella.

A 5 minute FW dip will provide some temporary relief, but will not cure the fish.

A 30 minute, 150ppm hydrogen peroxide dip (in saltwater), and then moving to a new tank will buy you more time. I would do that, and then try Ruby Reef Rally Pro in the treatment tank as a follow up. The dose of 3% hydrogen peroxide is 19 ml per gallon of tank water.

I'll give it a try thanks.

One passed. The other is fair, do these pictures help with brook vs ick?

Can a fish have both brook and ich at the same time?

Yes, but in my experience, it is pretty rare, just because of odds, not because one disease precludes the other. One disease can lower the fish's health/resistance to the point where the other one can jump in as well.

Sorry to see -

Fish out of water pics don't really help with diagnosis. The only sure fire way is to do a skin scrape and look at it under a microscope - then you can see which protozoan is the issue.
