Clownfish Dying?

Hi I bought a clownfish 3 days ago and he’s appearing to be dying and I’m not sure what the issue is, the other fish of the pair I bought is fine and my previous fish is fine, any advice? He was swimming a little wonky when I got him but knowing how weird clownfish are I shrugged it off, now he’s upside down on the bottom of the tank breathing rapidly

You really need to provide more information for anyone to be able to help diagnose the issue. Describe any symptoms in detail. Along with your tank parameters and some details on your tank.

I’m about to test the parameters so I can post that in about 10-15 minutes and it’s about a year and a half old, I have some minor issues with algae but that’s it, he was swimming upside down in the corner for a bit but I did some research said it was normal and they’re almost marking their territory? Then I looked in about 20 minutes ago and he was in the condition he’s currently in, I have another clown (they’re a pair) who’s having no issues and a sapphire damsel who’s doing well also

I did a freshwater dip for 5 minutes to see if it could clean his gills, I can do that for sure

He didn’t make it, I checked the parameters and there’s a tiny ammonia amount, so tomorrow will be a 50% water change as it’s currently 3am

I’m sorry to hear about that. I’m only starting the hobby recently so I can’t really help. Hope others can help but it’s too late for that. It never hurts to learn something new if anyone else can add inout

Condolances for your loss. If all your other fish are doing fine, the cause of the death may just be that you had a sick fish to begin with.

Sorry for that. The ammonia is probably from adding the fish but its not your fault.
