I had 2 clownfish when I started, they both died...I'm 99.9% sure it was MV. Got 2 new ones, had them in quarantine (as my dt is also going fallow as the first set were in there) within days started getting extra slime coat building on them like their scales were bubbling. Started them on copper... maintained at .5 for 14 days. They looked great! Everything was clear, their scales were beautiful, colors were great! Appetite was great throughout the copper and after. Cleared out the copper (Cupramine) Have been in regular saline water (Still in the QT) for a week now and one clown looks like he's got some flesh eating disease. Started on his head and spreading down to his eyes. He swims like he's straight up and yesterday he was starting to "enjoy the flow of the powerhead" a little more then usual. I've attached pics. Any idea? I have him and the other clown in a paraguard dip (3 ml per 1 Liters) and I'll have them in a lower dose in the qt after the hour is up. Anyone know what it could be? The pic was taken in the dip. So far the other clown seems fine. They are also housed with a green Chromis who's had a "purple bruise" on one side for about 2 weeks now. The clown is still eating and stays near the other clown. (The first fish that had the slime bubbling prior to the copper was actually the healthier fish now...)

That clownfish is doing his death dance now. By the time I finish typing this and check on him, I'm sure he will be dead. This went from healthy (healthy looking) to dead in a matter of hours. This is allot faster then what I went through last time. He never lost his appetite. I'm guessing this is Brooklynella. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it as I still have one clown that was in QT with him and a chromis. If it is Brooklynella, where did it come from as nothing was added to the tank since I got them a month ago and lasted through a cupramine treatment.

When I got him, I also got a bluestreak cleaner wrasse that died the next day, he was full of slime and I don't know what he had... he didn't survive more then 12 hours since I got him...however we did a copper treatment and this was almost a month ago. What can be dormant for almost a month, survive a cupramine for 14 days and come back with a vengeance?

Could deff be Brooke or maybe Velvet. without better pictures its hard to tell what it actually is. any way to get a good video?

He's dead now... I can freshwater dip him and see if something falls off.. I just checked on him a few mins ago...

Im so sorry to hear that :(. did you just get these clowns? where the in QT since you got them or where they ever in your display tank?

Sorry I thought I explained it, I got him a month ago... he did great in a cupramine treatment for 14 days... suddenly BAM! dead. My DT has been fallow so he's only been in QT along with another clown and a green chromis

After the 14 days of copper did you transfer them to a new sterile tank? If not that’s the problem. 14 days is not long enough in copper if only using 1 tank. You have to run 30 days using one tank or 14 if using two tanks.

That's not on the bottle o_Oo_O If it is Brooklynella... apparently copper doesn't kill that... you need formalin... so would it of mattered?... At this point, my beautiful clown died. I have one left and I'm sure he has it too... however if he does, it's the beginning stage, so I'll keep him on the paraguard that I started tonight. That should get rid of whatever it is right? Covers all the majors?

Would paraguard aggravate anything? The second clown seemed fine and now that he was in the dip with the first one (The first one is now dead and the second one is in the qt) he's starting to get those "bubbles" on him now... would that aggravate anything?
