Clownfish eating themselves to death?

I feed New Life Spectrum to my tank once a day. I have to feed a lot so I know it will get to all of my fish (especially the more shy ones). My two clowns eat like pigs and I can literally see massive bulges in their belly area. Is this dangerous?

Also you shouldn’t just be feeding pellets. There diet should include flakes, frozen, and Live food if you can

I feed the New Spectrum products, also. I use the Ehiem auto feeder. For a dozen fish in my 75 gallon, I do not feed too heavy. Many of mine get along well with only a pellet or two. I have a FoxFace that tends to be a hog. Your fish only need a [ellet or two.

I supplement with frozen on weekends.

I also do an eheim feeder, once daily of nls pellets, but I also feed a mix of frozen, and I add w/ turkey baster, and I hit both ends of tank to scatter it around some and disperse the crowd.

Your clowns and other fish only need a pellet or two. Even the shy ones will get a pellet when they are hungry.

I have had trouble getting some fish to eat especially the slower less aggressive feeders. My solution was to buy a small coral feeder basically a skinny turkey blaster and target feed them. I have also noticed my skunk cleaner and blood shrimp go crazy for it when I target feed them. Very cool to watch.

Mine are the .5mm pellets. The fish do fine. The clowns normally only get one or two per day. They are far and sassy. Mrs. Honery (my black and white clown) likes to nip at me when I stick m ugh hands on the tank She is only a year and a half old, but a good 2.5 inches, Fat and surely. So, one to two seams to work.

The only problem is that now I can't get my gobies or my firefish any food.

I use the two rotations to resolve that. By Hand a small amount feed then wait about a minute the feed another small amount. This lets the bigger fish get food first then pellets get to the bottom. You might wish to try this.
