Hi All,

I've had two clownfish for about three years. They were in a 125 for the first 2.5 years and we recently upgraded to a 175 about six months ago. They've always gotten along fine and are always together. They were very small when we bought them, but the white one was smaller. Yesterday I noticed an injury on the nose of the larger clownfish, and today I watched the smaller one chase the bigger one around the tank. The bigger one swims away and hides. The only thing that has changed is we added a large coral (in the picture) and a tang to the tank about two weeks ago. Their only other tankmate is a wrasse. Our water parameters are fine. I'm not sure if this is something that they should work out or if it requires separating them. We've had them both since we started our aquarium so I hate to get rid of one, but will do whatever is best. Any knowledge or advice is appreciated.

You can try adding something else new to host the tank see if one will like it more. Jealousy in clowns gets violent. We had to add a second BTA after my clown fish tried to kill each other over the first one, peace still stands as of now.

This is typical behavior for clownfish. I had a female kill her mate after years of being together (apparently she got fed up because he forgot to take out the trash on trash day and this was the third time it happened in a month).
