I just got a pair of clownfish and they are fighting, nipping at each other's fins (one fish has 2 rips on his fins), and locking lips. At the store they were together and not fighting, so they were already a pair. One is a little bit larger than the other, but not by a lot. Is there anything I need to worry about or is this normal behavior?

It's normal. Being in a new environment they are trying to reestablish dominance. Mine did the same I thought the female was going to kill the male but it sorted its self out

Normal behavior. Just let them be and they will sort themselves out. In the meantime...

I bought a pair of clownfish from a community tank at the LFS. I thought they were both juvi’s cuz they were only an inch long. 1 was constantly getting beat up and then finally, he jump out of a little crack in my screen top because of the harrasment. About 2 weeks later I introduced a much smaller clown that was tank bred and raised by a local reefer. My female took right to him. I was dumbfounded for weeks about the original harrasment until I realized, I believe she knew the first male was a brother and refused to “bond” with him for genetic reasons....just my theory
