It is sad. This is why most of my tank inhabitants are captive bred.

On the plus side they will never go extinct because of the immense amount of clownfish that are Captive Bred. It is sad however to see this.

They are not going on the endangered species list. This is a petition by an activist group. They don't cite any declining numbers of clownfish, just the harsh realities of climate change and ocean acidification, which apply to all reef animals.
