How long does it usually take a pair of clowns to grow out? I know right now both are male, as they are small. One of them will go to the other and show his belly so I am sure this one will stay male and the other will go female. I hope. My first set of clowns ( False clowns). So how long before I see an actual size difference between them? I have had them going on about six months, since mother's day. They do hang out together some, but not always. That should be fine right? I just worry about the possibility of them both going female and having a problem, which would totally be my luck.

I just looked that up too, it is hard to believe it has been six months since I brought them home hah!

In my experience captive bred clowns stay significantly smaller than wild caught ones. With that said, the female with certainly outgrow the male, and I would've expected this to have already happened to some degree in the six months you've had your pair.

Also, I have confused flower beetles for my bettas, will the clowns eat those? I have never tried them on it but don't want them blasted all over the tank if the wont. It is the larvae, not the beetles themselves.
