One of my Ocellaris clowns has a bubble in one of his nostrils, it’s been there for a few days. How can I help him get rid of it? It doesn’t look to be an illness, I’d does just look like a bubble, it hasn’t spread, all the fish are healthy. Thanks for your help

White light pics and/or a short video will help

my bad, the video didn’t work, I’ve just added photos.

Such a shame when fish turn to sniffing drugs

Looks to me like lymphocystis. Lympho is viral and not parasitical and is often associated with water quality issues and poor diet.
Water changes are effective with lympho and foods such as LRS fish frenzy or Rods often aminos fat and protein requirements
Often clown owners feed brine shrimp and pellets which are inadequate
If you’re using api test kits, you may be getting false readings which contributes to water quality issues.
Assure the clown does not develop slime, odd behavior or listlessness which is a whole other issue

Hi! Thank you for your reply! I found all your information very useful. I use red sea test kits, but I didn’t know brine shrimp and marine pellets weren’t the best for them, so I’ll definitely look into buying some of the recommended products you suggested. As I was feeding him tonight he brushed up against my finger and the bubble ended up coming off his nose, so it’s not longer there thankfully, so I don’t think he’s sick but I’ll continue to keep an eye on it for the next few days. Thank you for your help!

It looks like the white spot is right where the fish’ right nostril is, can you confirm that it is, or is the white spot adjacent to it? If it is coming out of the nostril, I’d say it is just some mucus. It bears watching, but no treatment needed.

Ah thank you! It was just in his nose, he ended up brushing his face against my hand as he was eating and it came out, so no more problem! Thanks so much for your reply!

Lympho does fall off by itself . It could also have been a grain of sand but glad it no longer exists
