Not that this is a problem but it’s pretty interesting to see one of my clowns looks completely different in only 6 months. Doesn’t even remotely resemble the fish it was when I got it. First picture is when I got it, was mostly orange and now it’s almost solid black.

hi ,very nice, juvi to adult colors:cool:

It’s like my black storm, brought it when it was 6 months it was just orange no black in sight now it mostly black.

I had the same thing happen. I have 4 clowns. Three were black and one orange. The orange one has turned black. I figured he was feeling left out Didn’t know it was possible.

Yea it must be more of a designer clown thing, my other pair of regular clowns has always had the same patterns and color.

Sounds to me like you had a young clown that is maturing and reaching its natural color. Black and white ocellaris clown sometimes look like a regualr Ocellaris clown when they are very young but as they grow they will become solid black out and white.

Here is an example of 3 month old black Ocellaris and their adult mother next to it. When they are less then, 4 weeks, they are only orange color.
