Clownfish has stringy poop :(

I'm assuming this white stingy poop is intestinal worms. Do I need to take all my fish out and quarantine or just the affected ones? Or is there some food you can feed the fish that is reef safe and a medication (probably not)? My wrasse, dottybacks, and tang all poop a lot and always brown but my clowns have white stringy poop sometimes. I've recently noticed this.

buy new life spectrum hex shield. I use 1mm sinking size for my clowns when this happens sometimes.

Feed Seachem metroplex bound with Seachem focus with their food. It may take anywhere from 7-21 days to work. I recommend feeding this once daily until you haven't noticed white poop for AT LEAST 5 consecutive days.

You can use 1 level measure of each med with 1/2 tbsp pellets or 1/2 tbsp of frozen. I prefer pellets because I can freeze them to make the mixture last longer. Also, I rarely use pellets other than as a "treat" so, even with the medication in there, all of my fish have devoured the mixture. You can use a drop or so of garlic to make it more palatable. Also add a smidge of tank water to help disolve and mix the meds

This IS regarded as reef safe. You can also, if you don't already, run carbon while doing this to pull any leached meds out of the water.

Alright, I'll do that ASAP. Hopefully, Petco has it today but I doubt it so ill probably have to order it. And I do run a BRS reactor with carbon 24/7.

My guys/gals wouldn't touch the stuff. I have heard that it can be effective IF the fish will eat it.

If you go this route I'd still recommend running carbon just yo be safe

Same here... Would be a great/easy solution for treating internal parasites if the fish would actually eat the pellets.

Ill get both recommendations(the metrochem and hex shield) and see what they like (although I feel like my fish would eat anything including their own poop lol), and run fresh carbon every week? I have a qt I could throw my clowns in but I wonder if my other fish have it although ive never noticed it. Catching the clowns would be easy tho.

If one fish has it, they all do. Fish eat each other's poo. I'd leave the clown in your DT and treat them all.

seachem metro and focus is good if your fish wont eat the pellets. mine have always eaten the hex shield and i find it to be a much easier and equally as effective alternative to the metro and focus. i have also never run carbon while feeding it to them. please keep us updated.

So is this probably the best method then ? I feed them frozen mysis, and the pellet food from sustainable aquatics for random treats. What is going to be the best way just soak some mysis in the medication refreeze and dump in? Im just scared to overdo it... my corals are starting to grow so well rt now.

Just stir focus and metro (or GC) into some thawed mysis. I spread it thin and refreeze but I think it's ok to leave it refrigerated for a while.

Feed slowly, making sure all the fish get some. I have done this in my mixed reef countless times and never had an issue with anything. Run some carbon of you want to be cautious.
