New additions. They fight a little bit though. Not bad just every once and a while one nabs at the other one. Any ideas on how to make them get along better?

Nature of the beast. If there are no frayed fins, both are still eating and neither is hiding then they are probably fine. Periodically and a lot initially the female has to establish her dominance (nature of the beast). They will do this through out their life span. Beautiful pair though.

Their entire life. It may be less frequent but it's what clowns do.

It should settle down once dominance is established and they become a bonded pair. If you notice the weaker one doing kind of a little up and down shimmy while the dominant attacks he is being submissive and will change from a sexless clown to the male in time. The dominant one will become female.

I have a Photon with a Blacker Ice paired for more than a yr and now the BI is beating the hell out of the Photon for no reason. No additions has been done to the tank and they keep ignoring the RBTA that's in the tank, any clues or feedback???

If they are not completely bonded it becomes a territory thing again, dominant clown will kick the other ones butt if he even looks at it. Which can be a big problem in a small tank

That's exactly what's happening, I will take the Photon out of tank tonight

You kind of have to weigh how badly the other one is getting beaten, if his fins are looking bad you should probably do something.

One thing to try is to put the one who is getting beaten up in a net breeder and hang it in the tank for a few days, the dominant one should settle down and you can try and put him back in

Got home to find a Photon beaten to pulp:crossedlips: ( his fins were missing sections) and hiding in a corner of the tank, put him in a critter box to avoid any more confrontations, female BI was in perfect shape:tongue:
