Hey! Hope someone can help out.

Just put two clowns in my 13.5 evo yesterday and they did great adjusting throughout the day. Today when I got home I noticed one would kinda push the other around and the one doing the pushing would kinda lay on its side and shake a bit. The one getting pushed around has parts of fins missing (was all there yesterday) what’s going on?

Your clowns are most likely juveniles and they are in the process of determining which one will become a male and which one will become a female. Perfectly natural process.

If fins are getting nipped, that is OK. If one is doing serious damage to the other, you may want to separate them for a bit.

Good luck!

No problem! How are they doing now? You can post a pic if you want also.

When I got up for work the light was off, however they were swimming in place together.

I’ll post a picture later tonight when home.. thank you for your help.

They seem to be doing well together

Mine did the exact same thing. And occasionally the bigger one (assuming it will become the female) still does it, especially during feeding time. But the little guy seems fine. I freaked out the first time I saw him do his little seizure dance, though!

I was so scared at first.. and then all of a sudden they started getting along [emoji28]
