Clownfish hosting GHA and ignoring BTA

Had a single ocellaris that never seemed interested in my two rose BTA, but had a green hair algae outbreak and ever since she has been hosting that stuff. Every time I try to manually remove the GHA she attacks my hand and won't leave the area. Added a 2nd ocellaris a few weeks ago and they paired up in that single patch of GHA.

How can I try and move them over to my BTA? Tried using my hand and tongs to slowly push them towards the BTA, and they even touched it a few times, but no success. Heck, they pull food into the GHA to "feed it". I'm not sure what else to do at this point? Maybe catch them while they are sleeping and reacclimate them onto the BTA?

There's no way to force it. Mine are 2 years old and are hosted by a powerhead. Other thing could be the anemone being too small to host them. Clowns are weird and will do what they do.

Yeah there is no way to force it.

Clowns will just be clowns. You can try to show them a video/photo of clowns hosting an anemone or whatever, but no guarantees.

Clowns will even change homes throughout their time with you. Mine move around from an elegance to Duncan's to powerhead.

My ocellaris have had BTAs for four years and don't touch them. They lay eggs on the back of the rock work and the female sleeps vertically in the back corner of the tank. BTAs are not a natural host for ocellaris so they don't always take to them. They do eventually for many though.

My ocellaris finally started hosting my BTA a few months ago. It took about 3 years.

Sometimes right away, sometimes never.

Lol, I know you guys all know this, but for any new reefers.......
CLOWNS do NOT host anything, the nem, coral, powerhead, corner of the tank is hosting the clowns.

No I'm not OCD, just think correct information needs to be there.

I agree.
There are 10 species of clownfish hosting sea anemones. The anemones are the hosts and the clown fish are the residents
