Need coral suggestions (preferably with pics)
For floating style rock in the top of my tank. My clownfish like to rest in this area so something they can rest/host in but also something that doesn’t mind being nearer to the light. I don’t have lights on really powerful have attached a screenshot of my preset for info

Thanks in advance

I would let the tank mature a bit and then focus on the coral or anemone that please you. There's no guarantee what so ever that your clowns will even be hosted. It took me 2 years, hundreds in anemone, and every internet trick I could find before the anemone hosted the clowns.

In the end for all of my trouble they became extremely territorial and won't allow my hands in the tank.

I feel your pain mine are very territorial (and if you meaning the tank needs to mature due to the look of the rock is new rock only added it a week ago as was fed up of the bulky live rock i had

How only is your tank? An anemone is the obvious choice to me. There are lots of different opinions on how long you should wait before adding an anemone since they can be pretty finicky and difficult in some cases. My personal opinion is wait at least 6 months, but preferably up to 10-12 months before adding a nem. Your tank may already be there, not sure. :)

BTAs are good for clowns. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the BTA will host the clowns. I've had my BTA in my system for months with no luck (yet). But outside of anemones, I've seen loads of different things hosting clowns. My giant toadstool hosted my clowns in my first tank. They were a match made in heaven. The toadstool didn't seem to mind it at all.

I just know that rock is going to go through the uglies either way. In my case trying to clean them properly while fighting aggressive clowns is no fun.

Yea I’m not fully confident on an anemone yet especially since I heard they move and kill of other corals. I’ve heard of clownfish hosting in torches and hammers before which I have a few of but main target really is something that will be comfortable up the top nearer to the surface and light

Get a Duncan coral...

I will bet you occelarius clowns will host a duncan faster then an aneneme, and the duncan won't give you grief by deciding it wants to move to a different area like a aneneme.

I forgot about Duncan think light would be an issue though up high

I forgot about Duncan need to see what sort of light they require first though

not too strong, but they can take high par.
They like moderate flow... not too strong.

I had a BTA a while back ago... clowns would not touch it.... then i got a duncan.
Now its there home, and if any fish gets near it. they go postal.

Yea my light settings aren’t too high anyway and I only have a royal gramma in with them anyway and a few CUC and that hides in cave so never goes near them
