Clownfish infection on pectoral fin?!

I’ve had the clowns for almost 3 months and they still Haven’t mated and have been fighting I noticed a couple days ago a white discoloration at the base of his pectoral fin (only white when the blues are on) and when I i was running the white and blues the discoloration looks almost brown any help, I gave him FW dip Just in case now his hiding in the cave Does anyone know what else I can do

Hi, sorry, just seeing this now. It appears to be an external bacterial infection, possibly as a result from an injury but it is in an unlikely spot for that to happen from the other clown biting it. Is this fish the least dominant of the two? Do you have other fish in the tank? Do you have a small treatment tank that you could use to dose antibiotics in the water?

I don’t have any other fish besides the 2 clowns and I also don’t have a qt tank could a external infection be solved by dosing Kanaplex and metroplex into there food with focus I have corals and a couple inverts And no she’s the more dominate one but the percula is still learning his place after I put in my elegance coral a few weeks ago my percula will sneak up on my Ocellaris and nip at him sometimes

Well, understanding that if you treat with kanaplex and Focus, all variables are uncontrolled, you might still get lucky, there really isn’t anything else you can do in tank. Just try to mix on the light side to avoid the risk of an overdose.

Sorry - no, I haven't used that, I use my medicated food mix. The trouble is that they give a general 5:1 ratio of focus:medication, yet every drug has a different effective dose, so one size does not fit all. Then, they say blend that mix with frozen food, but they don't say how much. So you know have a medicated food with an unknown amount of medication in it. Add to that each person is going to feed out a different amount of food, so that is another variable...I need to defer to somebody who has done this and hit upon just the correct ratios.
