I just got done doing tank maintenance. I have said it before and I will say it again…Pound for pound there isn’t a meaner more aggressive fish than a clownfish.

I have 2 mated pairs and big momma doesn’t play.

Lol. It won't be thr last time. Try offering food when doing g tank maintenance

My Maroon would go after the skin between my fingers.

Mine bit me between my thumb and fore finger. The little bugger, appeared to be proud of herself. Now I start off being the aggressor when put my hands in the tank. Nasty place to heal, BTW.

Someone needs to design an underwater hand puppet in the form of a clownfish so you can use your hand to terrorize the female clown until she backs down.

It is a million dollar idea for all in the hobby. Rather genius I’d say.

Dude. I just got the same bite tonight…our clown is just big enough that she’s starting to break skin. It used to be a cute tickle…but not so much anymore.

Mine isn't big enough to cause damage, but her new favorite thing is nipping at me while doing maintenance. Only a matter of time before she draws blood. Need to start wearing gloves soon. Maybe the cut proof ones for shucking oysters?

Been there, done that. Of course, I think I have probably received more injuries from jerking back after being bitten by various clownfish instead of the actual bite itself.

While they're still small, I think of them as kisses. I'm sure my mind will change, soon.
It will. I have had many different clowns over the years. They say maroons are the most aggressive out of the clowns and while mine were when I had them…nothing compares to this black snowflake.

I bought the mated pair almost 7 years ago now. The male is still relatively small but she has grown massive in relation to him and the other 2 I have. Never had one get as big as her though.

She is quite peaceful in the tank until my hand goes in. It than becomes a chew toy.

I just chase mine around a bit till she retreats, then I m good for that session. This doesn't last between intrusions
