I have a female that spends most of the day when the lights are on laying down in the sand, even leaning on the back glass sometimes.
The male doesn't lay down but is almost glued to her side while it happens.
She swims no problem at night, chases the food, and looks great. During the day she swims no problem either but does lay down a lot.
Initially I thought maybe trying to lay eggs.
But could it be something else? No other fish displaying signs of stress.
