Ok, that pretty much rules that out. I’m going with flukes but you’ll know after the FW dip.

One lArge disc. 2 tiny dots. Placed him back in and is hiding under a rock towards the back. Not looking good

One large disc? Can you post a pic?

I can’t all were off white and dumped the water. One larger flat disc size head of pin. Others half that.

More than likely flukes. Once he de stresses he will probably be out like nothing is wrong or at least looking better. The downside to this is that you now need to quarantine your fish and treat with General Cure. First treatment is 48 hours then wait 5 days (if the fish look like they will make it) and treat again. You can do two GC treatments in a row if needed(make sure you aerate during treatment). The FW dip is only temporary relief he will need treatment or it will become worse. Once you get the fish into QT you’ll need to let the tank be fishless for at least 4 weeks I believe for flukes.

What do I do from here ?

Take it out and either hope for the best or proactively set up a quarantine system to start treating the other fish.

Watch all your other fish for signs of disease (e.g. white spots) or behavioral symptoms like heavy breathing.

Did what you see during the FW dip look like below?

A fish with severe fluke infestation of the gills can succumb due to the trauma of the flukes quickly leaving and damaging tissue. I would suggest you find a QT and treat your remaining fish. You will need to leave your tank fallow though to outrun the lifecycle of the parasite. I’m sorry for your loss.

Yes one that was that average size in the pic and two smaller

Three total. Not nearly that many

I’ve yet to start researching it (still putting the human children to bed)..... do flukes go from fish to fish ? If that’s what it was

And thank you for taking the time to help me.

Always something.... I have a lubbocks wrasse which I saw was sensitive. Would medicated food or a general dose be better in your opinion?
