I bought 2 clownfish about 1.5 weeks ago and have them in a qt tank. One fish seemed off from day one, not eating and staying in a corner. The other fish seemed fine and was eating regularly. Unfortunately I lost the first fish on day 7, fish two still eating fine. Now the surviving fish has a bump under its lips and is starting to seem a little less active. Is it lymphocystis or something worse?
I have dosed the tank with general cure and mixed up medicated food which I fed for the first time today. I have cupramine on hand as well which I started to use in the beginning but discontinued use when the first fish wasn’t eating since I know copper can suppress appetite.
Parameters:
Temp: 77F
Salinity: 34 ppm
NH3: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: 5
I’ve been doing 25-40% water changes every 3 keep water quality up.
I’m still new and learning so can use whatever advice anyone has for me.
