Looks more like brook which is a typical clownfish disease.

Hi - welcome to Reef2Reef!

Can you try for another picture? Closer in will help us see what might be going on. I don't see ich, but as mentioned, it could be the early start of Brooklynella. We'll need some history on this as well: how long have you had the fish? Was it quarantined? What other fish are in with it? What are your most recent water quality parameters?

Thanks,

jay

Does it look like flakes like a rash where ur skin is shedding or like tiny white dots super small
They are not very distinct and defind.

She likes to swim at the top of the tank and she pops out of the water sometimes. Could she get a rash from her skin being exposed to the air too much?

Don’t think so, my fish jump out of the tank and have been 100% okay... well if they’re jumping they aren’t completely ok lol but like no harm done. Most likely ich or clownfish disease.

I have had the fish for 10 months and it wasn't quarantined because I do not have a separate tank for that. I just added a juvenile yellow coris wrasse to the tank 6 days ago.

These are the water parameters as of 5 minutes ago:
pH - 8.0
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Nitrate - 160 ppm

I dont know why my nitrates are so high, I did a 15% water change and added new chemical and physical filtration about a week ago but the nitrates seem to be the same.
I have also had a problem with algae growth that I just can't control.

This could be Brooklynella - is the fish still eating well and breathing normally?
It’s possible that your nitrate is actually off the scale, so a 15% water change won’t do much. You should do a larger water change, say 25% every week or so until it drops a bit. You need to check your test kit to see if it reads nitrate or nitrate-nitrogen. If it is reading nitrate, that is only around 30 ppm nitrate nitrogen.

The fish is eating and breathing very well.
I am not able to do water changes every week because I am a high school student that doesn't have that much money, but I will do my best.

Just keep an eye on that mucus near the top of the fish - if it spreads you’ll want to ge right on a treatment.
